Well he apologised but it doesn't mean much to me anymore. He is trying to have an adult relationship with me, and I respect that. I just feel sad that out of my kids I have the least contact with him and are very OK with that.....back to the counselor,,,,,

Don't feel too bad Deb. I had to completely let go of my youngest.
He was getting out of control with the mom of my grandbabies and I suggested she dump him when she asked me for advice.
I gave her the same suggestion I'd give any woman in an abusive situation. Run in the opposite direction.
So he got angry at me because she took that suggestion. I recognize he is toxic right now. I don't want anything to do with him.
If and when he decides to act loving and human again, I will talk to him but until then, it's off.
I don't like people who lie and hurt others,
even if those people are family.

Thank you God for boundaries.

It is not until we begin to set boundries that we finally begin to feel free....I am sad to hear about your son, but he just needs to film his own movie. When people are filming their movies and they are full of anger and hurt, I prefer not to watch them oor be a part of them. Being able to step back is me finally starting to be healthier. I like that feeling!!!
