While conducting a “Circle Talk” (an exercise that is part of Don Blanton’s Circle Of Wealth system) with one of his clients, a LifePro producer was referred a client that had prostate cancer. This particular client was 70 years old and a non-tobacco user. The tumor stage was T1C, his Gleason score was 3, and secondary was 3. The gentleman underwent prostate surgery in October 2008, after which his PSA went from 5.2 to 0.01. Click Here To Read More!

Individuals with tumors of the prostate defined as T1C or better can sometimes obtain Standard rates with certain carriers. This assumes the client had a radical prostatectomy (removal of the prostate gland) and currently has an undetectable PSA reading (also referred to as 0.01 or less). LifePro works with one company that, given this information, can and did offer Standard PLUS. Many other carriers quoted between Standard and Table D rates.

This case study goes to show you that even if you think that your client’s health situation will make it impossible for him/her to become insured, it is a great idea to contact our Impaired Risk Underwriting department, lead by myself, Greg Horak. I specialize in hard to place cases and have seen every “impossible” and “long shot” situation imaginable during my 12 years in this business. Call me with your hard to place case, and be sure to tune in to my webinar on “Insuring the Uninsurable” August 4.
